Description

Economic vinyl PVC floor base is highly comprehensive

Vinyl flooring has become increasingly popular in recent years. It is made from a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) synthetic material that combines excellent durability, affordability and low maintenance requirements. It can choose different thicknesses according to needs, and supports personalized color and pattern design, providing users with rich choices. Vinyl flooring not only performs well, but provides performers with comfort while providing excellent shock absorption.

It is the most popular type of indoor sports flooring

For venues that need to cater for a variety of sports and non-sports activities, especially basketball floors, the elastic sports surface of PVC vinyl flooring is considered the best choice. Since no additional protective covering is required, these floors are often easier to switch to other activities and require less maintenance.

Various sizes and surface textures available

When choosing a basketball floor, not only should you consider the cost of the floor itself, but you should also fully budget for lifetime maintenance costs. Resilient surfaces such as vinyl, linoleum or rubber generally don't need frequent refinishing and are relatively easy to clean. These floors are also stain-, splash-, and moisture-resistant, and our company offers versatile design options to suit different customer needs.

How to install indoor vinyl basketball court flooring?

Installing indoor vinyl basketball court flooring is a delicate task, here is a simple tutorial:

Materials
Vinyl basketball court flooring rolls or assembly boards
Adhesive (special vinyl glue)
Seamless compound (for seamless flooring)
Accessories (such as skirting, protective strips)

Tools
Floor cutting knife
Spatula (flat blade, serrated)
Roller (for pressing)
Tape measure, ruler
Steel brush or vacuum cleaner (for cleaning)

1. Preparation
Floor cleaning: Make sure the floor is clean, flat, free of oil and dust. Use a steel brush to polish or repair uneven areas when necessary.
Environmental control: Keep the indoor temperature at 18°C-24°C and the relative humidity less than 65%.
Acclimatize the vinyl floor: Place the vinyl floor at the installation site 24 hours in advance, unfold it and lay it flat to adapt to the indoor temperature and humidity.

2. Planning and Measurement
Marking: Mark the flooring area according to the standard size of a basketball court (e.g. 28m x 15m for a full court or 14m x 15m for a half court).
Cutting: Cut the vinyl flooring according to the markings to ensure neat seams.

3. Laying the floor
Applying glue: Apply adhesive evenly on the ground and scrape the glue with a toothed spatula. Be careful not to apply too thickly.
Laying the flooring roll: Start laying the flooring from one side, align one side of the roll with the marking line and gradually unfold it.
Compacting the floor: Use a heavy-duty roller to compact the floor from the center to the periphery to avoid bubbles and uneven glue.

4. Joining and finishing
Jointing gaps: Join adjacent floors tightly and use special joining tools to make them flat.
Welding or caulking (optional): For seamless floors, weld with welding rods and welding guns; or seal the seams with caulking compound.
Trimming edges: Use a cutting knife to trim the edges of the flooring so that they are flush with the wall or skirting.

5. Fixing and inspection
Fix the skirting: Install the skirting at the edge of the floor to protect the edge of the floor.
Clean the surface: Clean the floor surface with a soft cloth to ensure that there is no dust and residual glue.
Inspect the construction: Ensure that the floor is flat and the joints are tight.

Precautions
Make sure the floor is completely dry and the moisture content is less than 2%.
Select the correct adhesive and installation tools according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If it is a large venue, please lay it in different areas and leave edge space for thermal expansion and contraction.
Do not let heavy objects drag on the floor surface to avoid scratches.
After installation, wait at least 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before putting it into use.
