Project Background and Material Solution Adjustment
In the site planning outside the gymnasium, the client planned to install two long-term outdoor basketball courts totaling 650 square meters. Initially, based on the site's characteristics and usage requirements, we recommended PP tiles as the flooring material. However, the client preferred a more cost-effective and economical material. Therefore, we conducted in-depth material research and design work, ultimately proposing an acrylic flooring solution.
Visual Design Advantages of Acrylic Flooring
From a visual perspective, acrylic flooring offers unique advantages. Although, unlike removable PP tiles, acrylic flooring cannot be repositioned after installation, we cleverly addressed this issue. Leveraging the wide range of acrylic flooring colors, we created distinct color schemes for the two basketball courts. This design not only clearly distinguishes the basketball courts from the outside gymnasium but also adds a touch of richness to the 650 square meter space, creating a complete and aesthetically pleasing courtscape and enhancing its overall visual appeal.
Affordability and Aesthetics
In terms of cost-effectiveness, the acrylic flooring solution fully met the client's core needs. The selection of this material significantly reduced the overall project cost. Furthermore, through appropriate color matching and design planning, the two outdoor basketball courts were made more eye-catching and visually appealing, while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This solution not only met the client's budgetary requirements but also enhanced the aesthetics of the venues, creating a practical and economical outdoor sports space for the client.
